Emily Nickles

Emily Nickles, Controller, manages the financial statements for both the fund managers and each of the funds – ensuring correct and timely financial reporting for all entities. She serves as the primary point of contact for external providers for both audit and tax.

Prior to joining CincyTech in 2017, Emily spent 6 years in public accounting, working in tax, before moving into a role at a FinTech startup located in Blue Ash, Ohio. She worked at Unirush from 2010 to 2017 as the company grew from 12 employees to over 100, added private equity investment, and was later acquired by GreenDot Corporation (GDOT, NYSE) in 2017.

Emily earned her Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Cincinnati. She serves as the Board Treasurer for Acting Up, a volunteer young performers community theater group based in Mason, Ohio.

Outside of work, Emily is an avid runner and she also teaches Pure Barre. She enjoys visiting the local breweries and spending time with her husband and daughter. She loves solving jigsaw puzzles and getting involved in the community theater, earning the “Rising Star” award from the Association of Community Theaters, and aspires to be back on stage someday. She may be the only accountant / opera singer that we know!
