Jay Johnson

Jay Johnson brings decades of financial leadership and operational rigor to the CincyTech board. Currently, he serves as Vice President & Treasurer at Western & Southern Financial Group, where he has been part of the organization since 2011 and has held several finance, accounting, and treasury roles.

At Western & Southern, Jay has built a strong reputation around financial analysis, budgeting, internal controls, and risk management, which are essential capabilities for supporting a high-growth venture portfolio. His deep experience also gives him a unique lens on financial operations in the banking and insurance sectors.

Jay’s career began in auditing as a Staff Auditor at KPMG, where he developed a solid foundation in financial reporting and compliance. Over the years, he has expanded his expertise into lean manufacturing and project management, demonstrating his versatility beyond traditional finance.

He holds an MBA in Corporate Finance from the University of Notre Dame and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance & Computer Information Systems from Indiana University Bloomington.
